After seeing Lewis Pullman’s portrayal of Sentry in the latest release, Thunderbolts, MCU enthusiasts have been given a sneak peek at the official concept art for this powerful character. This is our first glimpse into the Marvel-endorsed design that has now surfaced online.
Lewis Pullman’s golden Sentry suit design revealed for Thunderbolts*
Marvel Studios’ lead artist John Staub, known for his work on character concepts like Blade, Elektra, Johnny Storm (Chris Evans), as well as Deadpool and Wolverine, recently posted the official design of Sentry on his social media platforms.
On Instagram, a piece of art showcases Lewis Pullman sporting stylish, golden-hued hair and embodying his Sentry character in a gold suit. Soaring against a backdrop of cloudy skies, the costume resembles that of Sentry from the Thunderbolts movie directed by Jake Schreier. It includes navy boots, a belt with an embedded logo, a collar, and wrist sleeves as details.
*Thunderbolts refers to an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film in which Sentry is expected to appear.

In the post featuring Staub’s debut of Sentry’s initial concept art for the Thunderbolts movie, the artist labeled it “Final design of #Sentry for the #thunderbolts film. I was fortunate to contribute in bringing this character to life on the big screen. Led by the outstanding @andyparkart, visual development director. I am extremely honored to have collaborated with fantastic artists like @constantinesekeris, @rodneyimages, @jwsze, @wes_burt, @janaschirmer, @jihyeleeart, and @jsmarantz.
At the end of Marvel’s Thunderbolts, Lewis Pullman’s character chooses to team up with Yelena Belova and her group. Yet, during the movie’s closing scene, he expresses that he won’t become Sentry in the future, hoping to prevent any more complications from his other self, the Void.
*The Thunderbolts is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
In contrast, it’s been verified by Marvel Studios that the character, Bob Reynolds (played by Pullman), will reappear in Avengers: Doomsday. This implies that he may be forced to violate his oath of not transforming into Sentry during this upcoming Avengers film.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t contain my excitement as the Russo brothers are gearing up to bring “Avengers: Doomsday” to the big screen on May 1, 2026!
