When and where to watch Thudarum

Beginning on May 30, 2025, Thudarum will be available for streaming exclusively on JioHotstar. This was confirmed in a post on their official account, stating, “Thudarum premieres on May 30th, only on JioHotstar.

Official trailer and plot of Thudarum

The tale of Thudarum centers on Shanmugham, who is also recognized as Benz. He leads an uncomplicated existence as a taxi driver. Previously a stuntman, he left the film industry following the devastating accidental death of his friend Anbu. The universe of Benz revolves mainly around his wife Lalitha, their two offspring, and his beloved Ambassador vehicle.

However, a surprising turn of events occurs when Benz’s car is seized as it unwittingly became involved in a drug trafficking incident. In a startling revelation, the authorities had concealed a corpse within his vehicle and compelled him to assist in its disposal. Later, it was revealed that the body belonged to none other than his long-lost son, Pavi. The police had cold-bloodedly taken his child’s life and pinned the crime on Benz to mask their horrific act. Overwhelmed with grief and fury, Benz decides to retaliate.

Cast and crew of Thudarum

In Thudarum, Mohanlal portrays Shanmugham, with Shobana playing his wife. Their son is played by Thomas Mathew, while Amritha Varshini joins the cast as Pavithra, the daughter of a character named Benz. Prakash Varma assumes the role of CI George Mathan, a powerful and corrupt figure, and Binu Pappu takes on SI Benny C. Kurian.

In this production, Farhaan Faasil plays the character of Sudheesh, who holds the position of Chief Procurement Officer. Other notable characters include Maniyanpilla Raju as Kuttichan, Irshad in the role of Shaji, Aarsha Chandini Baiju portraying George’s daughter Mary, and Sangeeth Prathap as Kiran, a friend to Pavi. The cinematography is masterfully handled by Shaji Kumar, while Nishadh Yusuf and Shafeeque V. B take care of the editing process. Lastly, the musical score for the film is skillfully crafted by Jakes Bejoy.
