Thudarum: Mohanlal, Shobana rekindle nostalgia in upcoming crime drama that centers around the love for a car

Recently, Mohanlal has been garnering attention, mainly due to his upcoming movie titled L2: Empuraan. Yet, there’s more to look forward to! He also stars in an upcoming Malayalam production called Thudarum. Although the release date hasn’t been disclosed yet, it’s slated to premiere in cinemas soon.

Lately, on X (previously Twitter), Mohanlal shared the long-anticipated trailer of Thudarum, marking his reunion with his old acting partner Shobana after a while. The 1-minute and 57-second video highlights a man’s steadfast affection for his automobile that transcends the usual bounds.

It’s undeniable that the charisma of Mohanlal and Shobana, a legendary duo from Mollywood, shines brilliantly on screen. After many years apart, their chemistry continues to be timeless and naturally captivating as they reunite once more.

Returning to the trailer’s discussion, the initial portion presents an exquisite mix of wit, apt comedic moments, and down-to-earth affection. Yet, the latter part veers into more dramatic territory, illustrating just how far someone might push themselves for something deeply cherished.

For those not familiar, the movie “Thudarum” was originally set to hit theaters in January 2025, but unexpected circumstances caused a delay. Now, everyone is eagerly waiting for the creators to reveal the official release date for this highly-anticipated crime drama.

At the same time, Mohanlal is preparing for Empuraan, the highly awaited follow-up to his 2019 movie Lucifer. He will once again play Stephen Nedumpully in this action-filled movie, acting alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, and others on screen.
