Throwback to the news of Ajith Kumar being beaten up by director Bala in a hotel room over an argument

As a die-hard fan here, let me share my take on Naan Kadavul – a masterpiece by none other than the brilliant Bala! This film not only solidified his reputation but also fetched him a National Film Award. Originally, Ajith Kumar was slated to play the lead role, but due to creative clashes with the director, our beloved Arya ended up stealing the show instead. As per Koimoi, the Good Bad Ugly actor initially signed on, only to back out due to creative disagreements with Bala. Rumors swirled that a heated argument between them over this issue escalated into a significant controversy, tarnishing the film’s early days.

Reports indicate that Ajith and Bala held a meeting at a hotel to talk about the movie’s development. In their discussion, it emerged that the director was contemplating swapping out Ajith because of financial constraints, which left him dismayed since he had already begun preparing for his part.

It appears that the atmosphere became awkward when Bala requested Ajith to give back the initial payment. At first, Ajith was hesitant, feeling his work seemed futile. But eventually, he repaid the money, resolving the issue. Later, Bala made it clear that although they had arguments, there was no instance of a physical altercation.

Director Bala stated, as reported by IBM, that the allegation of assaulting him in a hotel room is a fabricated story from the media. However, he acknowledged there were conflicts between them. Since then, the actor has not commented on the matter and has kept a professional distance from the director.

In terms of career, Ajith Kumar is getting ready for the launch of his next movie called Good Bad Ugly. This film will be available in cinemas starting April 10, 2025.

In the trailer, the actor is shown in two different styles – once with silvered hair and another portraying a younger character. Additionally, the preview seems to suggest a backstory involving prison life, interspersed with high-octane action scenes.
