Lately, she opened up about a past incident where she was unexpectedly replaced in a promising Telugu movie that starred Prabhas.

During an interaction with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Rakul Preet Singh recalled that she was unexpectedly replaced from a Telugu movie featuring Prabhas, despite having filmed several scenes for it. This opportunity came her way before she starred in the Telugu film Venkatadri Express as her debut project.

In her account, Rakul shared that she was taken off a film after shooting for four days, before making her debut in the Telugu industry with Prabhas. However, not being well-versed in the intricacies of the film world at the time, she didn’t let it affect her deeply. She found solace in her innocence and naivety. In fact, she thought, ‘Oh, they have replaced me? That’s alright, perhaps this wasn’t my path; I’ll find another way.’

Additionally, Rakul stated that she was informed of a significant decision made against her without any prior notice. Essentially, it seemed the producer preferred another actor with greater standing and more established fame to replace her. However, undeterred by the setbacks, Rakul continued to seize new opportunities.

Rakul explained, “I realized I wasn’t going to land the initial major breakthrough, so I needed to find alternative paths. Eventually, my first film turned out to be a modest production that ended up being a huge success.

Previously, during a question-and-answer interaction with her followers on Instagram, Rakul Preet Singh discussed upcoming plans regarding her comeback to the Tollywood (Telugu) film industry.

In her reply, the actress admitted to feeling the absence of her Telugu audience as well and expressed eagerness to star in another Telugu movie in the near future. Furthermore, she promised she had been going through potential scripts and also confessed to longing for involvement in the regional cinema scene again.

In terms of her acting career, Rakul’s upcoming projects include Indian 3, De De Pyaar De 2, and a remake of Meri Patni. Meanwhile, Prabhas has several important roles lined up, such as The Raja Saab, Spirit, Kannapa, and Fauji.
