'There is something called privacy': When Dhanush STORMED OUT during interview over intrusive questions about his personal life - Throwback

As a fervent admirer of Dhanush, I have always admired his talent and the depth he brings to every character he portrays. However, it was during that infamous interview with TV9 that I truly understood the man behind the actor – a man who values his privacy and refuses to be swayed by controversies or media scrutiny.

In the Indian movie scene, Dhanush is highly sought after. He generally prefers to keep his private life tucked away from public scrutiny and media attention. During promotions for VIP 2, an interview with a Telugu channel took place, but the discussion took an unexpected turn, leading to Dhanush abruptly ending the interview.

Before the premiere of VIP 2, Dhanush became embroiled in a debate. It appears that confidential images of various celebrities were disseminated from Suchitra’s Twitter account during this period, and they quickly spread like a raging inferno across social media. Dhanush was unfortunately linked to the infamous scandal surrounding Suchi’s leaked photos.

During the interview with TV9, Dhanush was asked about the Suchi leaks. He responded by stating that he wasn’t aware of it because he had been fully occupied with the filming of his movie. In simpler terms, he explained that he hasn’t paid attention to such matters as he has been preoccupied with his film project.

When questioned about allegations of him experiencing “mental distress” due to the controversy, Dhanush angrily responded, “Has anyone claimed I suffered mentally? Have I ever communicated this to anyone?

In response to the allegations stemming from the Suchi leaks, I found myself being confronted with questions about my private life. To this, I firmly asserted, “I don’t feel obligated to disclose personal aspects of my life to you. Would you be comfortable sharing your own personal matters with me? There exists a boundary called privacy… I am not accountable to you in this context, and I find this line of questioning rather pointless.

After that point, things took a turn for the worse, causing Dhanush to exit the interview in a fit of rage. Despite this, he was invited back for another round of questioning once the channel offered their apologies for their inappropriate line of questioning.

Simultaneously, in his professional life, Dhanush is gearing up for his upcoming movie called Kubera, starring Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna Akkineni. You might recall that he recently appeared in the hit film Raayan.
