As a devoted follower of Malayalam cinema, I must confess, Thekku Vadakku has piqued my curiosity since its theatrical release back in October. Having grown up in Kerala, I’ve always had a soft spot for stories that delve into the intricacies of rural life, and Thekku Vadakku appears to do just that with its fresh take on a secluded landscape.

One such well-liked Malayalam satirical drama, titled Thekku Vadakku, made its big screen debut on October 4, 2024. The movie garnered a mix of reactions from viewers and critics, and managed to pull in a decent audience at the box office. Following a week-long run in theaters, the film is now available for digital streaming, set to premiere online from November 22, 2024.

In a lighter tone, the movie’s storyline intertwines friendly banter with intense competition over a single plot of land. This struggle is between a former engineer and a rice mill magnate, both in retirement.

The main character, who works as a notary and lives an unremarkable daily life, continues in this fashion, taking things one day at a time. However, the monotony of his existence is abruptly disrupted when his adversary makes an appearance, introducing a new, unexpected twist to his ordinary world.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I can’t help but emphasize the charm of quirky characters that each series presents. These unique personalities, with their intricate backstories, have certainly captured the hearts and minds of numerous viewers like myself.
