It’s been confirmed that HBO will continue “The White Lotus” for a fourth season, but specifics about the new storyline are being kept secret. Production is tentatively planned for 2026, and creator Mike White has already come up with innovative concepts for the upcoming episodes. With Season 3 due to air in February 2025, filmed in Thailand, fans are eagerly guessing what locations and actors might appear in the next installment of this award-winning series.
The White Lotus renewed for Season 4, eyes 2026 production window
According to Variety, it’s been officially announced that The White Lotus will come back for Season 4, but production won’t start until the year 2026. As of now, there’s no word on the specific location or cast members returning, but last year, creator and showrunner Mike White discussed several concepts with HBO and Max CEO Casey Bloys.
The announcement is made prior to the Season 3 premiere on February 16, 2025. This premiere will see the Emmy-winning series travel to Thailand. Natasha Rothwell reappears in her role from Season 1 as spa manager Belinda Lindsey. Jennifer Coolidge, who played Tanya McQuoid throughout the first two seasons, won’t be returning. Alongside Rothwell, viewers can look forward to seeing Leslie Bibb, Parker Posey, Michelle Monaghan, Jason Isaacs, Walton Goggins, and Blackpink member Lisa, among others.
In the first two seasons of this series, we see wealthy travelers dealing with their personal problems and clashes while staying at luxurious White Lotus resorts. The storyline interweaves character-focused drama with a central enigma surrounding a death, linking the experiences of the guests to those of the resort staff. This show has received much praise, earning 15 Emmys, including the award for Outstanding Limited Series in its first season. As it continued, the series shifted from the limited series categories into the drama categories.
It’s unlikely that The White Lotus Season 4 will start airing before the year 2027 because of its production schedule. Since its debut, Mike White, David Bernad, and Mark Kamine have been the driving forces behind the show as executive producers.
