The Wheel of Time Season 3 Cast Adds Saw X Star & More

Amazon Studios’ MGM division has announced that Synnøve Macody Lund (from Ragnarok and Saw X), Isabella Bucceri (Everything in Between), Nukâka Coster-Waldau (Thin Ice), Salóme Gunnarsdóttir (The Lazarus Project), and Björn Landberg (Galileo Mystery) have been added to the cast of The Wheel of Time for its third season, which is due to air on Prime Video starting March 13, 2025.

Listed below are the full character descriptions of the new cast members:

  • Lund’s Melhindra – a Malkieri survivor who was taken in and raised by the Taardad Aiel.
  • Bucceri’s Faile Bashere – a Saldaean ‘Hunter of the Horn,’ whose efforts to locate a treasured relic have led her to The Two Rivers.
  • Coster-Waldau’s Bair – the eldest Wise One, who’s the most respected member of the Taardad Aiel. Her authority and wisdom are held in higher regard even than that of the Clan Chief. Along with being able to channel the One Power, she has access to an even more mystical ability.
  • Gunnarsdóttir’s Melaine – a Wise One of the Taardad Aiel. Despite not being able to channel, she is able to access a more mystical power.
  • Landberg’s Rhuarc – the well-respected Clan Chief of the Taardad Aiel. Having passed the trial of Rhuidean to become Chief, he is one of the few Aiel who knows what lies within the fog, though he is forbidden to speak of it.

Who is in The Wheel of Time Season 3 cast?

In simple terms, “The Wheel of Time” is overseen by Rafe Judkins, who not only created and supervised the series but also manages its day-to-day production. For Season 3, Rosamund Pike takes the lead as Moiraine Damodred, Daniel Henney portrays al’Lan Mandragoran, Josha Stradowski steps into the role of Rand al’Thor, Zoë Robins embodies Nynaeve al’Meara, Madeleine Madden plays Egwene al’Vere, Marcus Rutherford is cast as Perrin Aybara, and Dónal Finn portrays Mat Cauthon.

Joining the cast are Ceara Coveney portraying Elayne Trakand, Kate Fleetwood as Leandrin Guirale, Natasha O’Keeffe in the role of Lanfear, Ayoola Smart as Aviendha, and Kae Alexander as Min Farshaw. The series is overseen by Pike, with Harriet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson acting as advisors. This fantasy production is a collaboration between Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television.

In the finale of Season 2, following the defeat of Ishamael, Rand meets up with his companions again in Falme and is officially recognized as the Dragon Reborn. However, in Season 3, the dangers against the Light intensify: the White Tower is fractured, the Black Ajah roam freely, long-time adversaries reappear in the Two Rivers, and the remaining Forsaken chase after the Dragon, including Lanfear, whose connection with Rand will lead to a pivotal decision between good and evil for both. As his links to his past weaken and his tainted power escalates, Rand transforms into an unfamiliar figure for his trusted confidants, Moiraine and Egwene. Once mentor and student, these strong females must now cooperate to keep the Dragon from succumbing to darkness… regardless of the sacrifices they might have to make.
