AMC recently unveiled a fresh trailer for the second season of the popular series “Dead City,” which is a spin-off of “The Walking Dead.” This eagerly anticipated continuation, featuring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, is set to premiere on May 4, 2025, and will be broadcast simultaneously on AMC and AMC+.

In the sneak peek, Negan, a popular adversary, is seen meeting up once more with his iconic bat, Lucille, as he takes on a crucial role in The Dama’s mission to bring unity among Manhattan’s communities. The video also hints at Maggie making a comeback to the perilous city, suggesting that she will encounter numerous difficulties, such as finding herself trapped in a fighting pit with zombies.

The offshoot story revolves around fan-favorite characters Maggie and Negan navigating a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, isolated from the mainland. This decaying urban jungle teems with the undead and survivors who have reclaimed New York City as their lawless, chaotic domain marked by anarchy, peril, beauty, and fear. In Season 2, as tensions rise in the fight for control of Manhattan, Maggie and Negan find themselves on opposing sides. Their destinies intertwine, leading them to discover that escaping this nightmarish city is far more complex and harrowing than they ever dared imagine.

In the creation and management of The Walking Dead spin-off titled “Dead City,” Eli Jorné plays a significant role as both creator and executive producer, also serving as the showrunner.
