Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, I, Andrew Lincoln (The Bikeriders star), was asked about the surprise kiss between Daryl Dixon and Isabelle in The Book of Carol’s Episode 2. I explained that this scene wasn’t designed to imply a romantic trajectory for my character. Instead, it was more like an intriguing exploration: “It was like, ‘What is this?’ It wasn’t ‘This is the big moment!’ It was, ‘Let’s see what this might be, and how it would unfold.'” I added that there was no intention to advance beyond a friendly gesture. Instead, it felt more like cautiously peeling back a curtain to examine an idea.
Afterward, Reedus elaborated on Daryl Dixon’s reasons for kissing Isabelle, aiming to offer a more comprehensive understanding of his choice. “[Daryl] has spent his entire existence running and battling,” the actor explained. “He starts questioning himself: Have I been living this life incorrectly?
