The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon how many episodes per season?

As a devoted fan with over a decade’s worth of investment in the undead apocalypse that is The Walking Dead universe, I must say that the spin-off series, particularly Daryl Dixon, has been an absolute game-changer. From Norman Reedus’s gripping portrayal of the crossbow-wielding badass to the captivating storylines and exotic locations, this show has not disappointed!

AMC has really gone above and beyond by producing three spin-offs of the long-running apocalyptic series, The Walking Dead. These new shows, namely Dead City, Daryl Dixon, and The Ones Who Live, have expanded the universe by letting the stories venture beyond the confines of the main series. Each fresh show contributes to additional story arcs in the lives of characters initially introduced in The Walking Dead. This fall marks the start of season 2 for Daryl Dixon, and it has already been renewed for a third. However, the number of episodes each season will consist of remains to be determined.

In September 2023, the new season of “The Walking Dead,” featuring Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus), premieres on AMC and AMC+. Since 2010, Reedus has portrayed Daryl Dixon. An unexpected journey took him to France this time, a destination he had never imagined. As fate would have it, after crossing paths with some shady individuals, Daryl found himself unwillingly aboard a ship that eventually left him stranded on French soil.

In the debut season of “Daryl Dixon“, much like other series in The Walking Dead universe, the journey commenced with six episodes. Initially, one might think it challenging to develop a comprehensive narrative within such a limited scope. However, the masterminds behind this series skillfully crafted Daryl’s tale and introduced us to intriguing characters he met along the way, making for an engaging start.

Title Change: The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – Season 2 is renamed “Carol’s Journal” to facilitate the resumption of Carol Peletier’s narrative arc. Actress Melissa McBride reprises her role as Carol, a character she first portrayed in season 1 of the main series. The plot will pick up with Carol’s pursuit of her friend Daryl, starting from his last known location in Maine. Meanwhile, Daryl’s storyline will continue to unfold in France, where he grapples with important choices he must make.

The upcoming second season for “Daryl Dixon” is set to debut on both AMC and AMC+ starting from September 29. This follows approximately a year since the premiere of its first season, and it will consist of six captivating episodes.

David Zabel, the showrunner, confirmed during an interview with Collider that the third season, announced at the 2024 SDCC panel, will comprise six parts. The upcoming installment will be shot and take place in Spain, introducing a fresh dimension to the captivating series, paving the way for a fourth season hinted at by Reedus in an interview with Radio Times before SDCC.
