The Undertaker Weighs In on Gunther & Randy Orton’s Segment

As a seasoned gamer of wrestling lore, I must say that the ongoing feud between Gunther and Randy Orton is a thrilling spectacle to behold. Having witnessed the likes of Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and even The Undertaker himself in their prime, I can confidently assert that this rivalry is shaping up to be one for the history books.

The Undertaker recently weighed in on the ongoing rivalry between Gunther and Randy Orton, who are set to face off at WWE Bash in Berlin. After Gunther defeated Damian Priest to win the World Heavyweight title at WWE SummerSlam. Randy Orton interrupted his title celebration following RAW after SummerSlam.

Last Tuesday, August 5th, during WWE RAW, I crashed Gunther’s title celebration. There, I proudly announced my triumph in the King of the Ring finals. Later, I threw down the gauntlet for a title match, and to my surprise, Gunther accepted. The rivalry between us escalated the very next week when Gunther went too far by mocking my family, making things personal.

Gunther frequently resorts to harsh personal criticism and biting remarks towards his opponents. He escalated this behavior by publicly disparaging Bob Orton Jr. and his grandfather, Bob Orton, referring to them as failures or incompetents.

These remarks provoked Orton, who responded by hitting Gunther with an RKO on the spot. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker offered his thoughts on the Gunther-Orton feud. He praised both men for their intense promo battle on the August 12th episode of WWE RAW.

The Undertaker praises Gunther & Randy Orton’s impactful promo

On his “Six Feet Under” podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer, better known as The Undertaker, commended the intense exchange between Randy Orton and Gunther. He noted that Gunther’s comments really got under Orton’s skin, but Orton came back with a strong response.

He stated, “He’s talked about, like, how good he could have been if he hadn’t have been a flake or that’s my translation. Oh, it was good, man, and Randy, he weathered that storm and had a comeback and then he went into his grandfather. It was a good promo, which is kind of scary to think, like, how many times he [Orton] may have won the championship if he’d had his head on right the whole entire time. But it was a really good, stiff promo.”

Furthermore, The Undertaker praised Gunther and Dominik Mysterio for their exceptional portrayal of villainous characters. He noted, “Being a heel or a hero nowadays, it’s a very thin dividing line. That’s why people like Dom stand out so much because he is a pure, unwavering heel in every aspect. Gunther, however, is tough and presents himself in such a way that it will be difficult to maintain his heel persona.”

Supporters have likewise lauded Gunther’s latest projects, be it against Randy Orton or Damian Priest. As The Ring General gears up for his initial title defense at WWE Bash in Berlin, it promises an intriguing spectacle as events unfurl.
