North Shore of Bitter Lake

Initially, navigate the game until you find yourself at the North Shore of Bitter Lake. You’ll create quite an impact upon entering this region, as you’ll be riding on a massive turtle. When you reach the Shrine, turn around to face the coast behind you. From there, you should spot a few structures in the distance.

Here, you can meet Chen Loong as well, who will guide you to the Zodiac Village. Feel free to visit him either before or after this current mission, whichever suits you best. It’s an advantageous detour, offering you a fresh hub filled with friendly merchants for your convenience.

1. Follow the trail adjacent to the structure, where you’ll encounter a Treasure Hunter besieged by evil spirits. Eliminate these creatures. Engage in conversation with him until he runs out of things to say, at which point proceed to the next phase.

Towers of Karma

Next, proceed towards the Karma Towers Shrine, where you’ll encounter the Treasure Hunter. He can be found opposite the massive stone-carved wall. Since he is on the brink of freezing, use your Ring of Fire spell (learned from the enigmatic NPC during the early stages of this Chapter) to warm him up. Engage in conversation with him until he runs out of things to say, and then it’s time to continue to the next phase.

To reach the Towers of Karma, make your way to the Field of Felicity in the Valley of Ecstasy within the game. Proceed along the path to the left after this location, and you’ll pass by the Fox Quest. Continue until you come across a significant turn to the left; follow it down to the bottom where you’ll discover the Shrine. This turn might be a bit tricky to spot, but it will be located near a wooden archway.

Melon Field Shrine

To reach Melon Field Shrine, retrace your steps to the Field of Felicity Shrine and find the snowy slope on its left side, just next to an arch with a corpse nearby. Follow this path downhill until you reach the bottom where a small flooded area lies. In the corner farthest from the entrance, you will notice some figures looking over the cliff edge.

1. Pay attention as you descend here, since one of them isn’t frozen and could pose a threat. Continue your journey to the bottom, and there you’ll discover the Melon Field Shrine. Once you’ve activated it, venture into the cave where you’ll encounter the Green-Capped Martialist, whom you’ll need to battle.

Now, this battle is thrilling because he disappears, making it a challenge to avoid his flaming hoop. Since there’s a chance you might get hit by the flames, it would be wise to come prepared with some fire resistance. When the fight concludes, the Child Buddha materializes, shares intriguing story updates, and bestows upon you the Spell Binder spell.
