Apple TV+ recently unveiled a preview clip titled “The Studio” for their upcoming comedy series featuring Seth Rogen in the role of a movie studio executive. This hilarious show is set to premiere on March 26, 2025, and will initially air the first two episodes.
The story revolves around Matt Remick, who’s just taken over as head of troubled Continental Studios. With movies finding it hard to survive and thrive, Matt and his team of bickering executives face personal insecurities while dealing with self-centered artists and greedy bosses in their never-ending quest to create excellent films.
In their stylish attire concealing a constant underlying tension, each gathering, film set visit, casting choice, marketing conference, and award ceremony offers them a chance for dazzling triumph or career-threatening disaster. Being so deeply immersed in the world of cinema, it’s the role Matt has been striving for his entire life, and there’s a real risk that it could be his undoing instead.

What happens in The Studio clip?
As a fervent admirer, I was thrilled to witness Matt Remick, played by the brilliant Seth Rogen, interacting with Catherine O’Hara’s character Amy on the glamorous red carpet. They didn’t hold back their criticism of the Golden Globes for extending invitations to social media influencers. The ensemble also features Kathryn Hahn as Maya, Ike Barinholtz as Sal Seperstein, and Chase Sui Wonders portraying Quinn. What makes this even more exciting is the addition of A-list guest stars such as Bryan Cranston, Paul Dano, Zac Efron, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, Zoë Kravitz, Olivia Wilde, Adam Scott, Anthony Mackie, and many others.
The Studio is developed, co-produced, written, and directed by Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg. Additional executive producers are Frida Perez, James Weaver, Alex McAtee, and Josh Fagen. This production is brought to you by Lionsgate Television.
