In a shift of mood, we move on to depict the human army annihilating demon hordes during battle. Later, Jiron shares this news with Vice Commander Ike. He informs him that the Alliance of Kings successfully overpowered the Second Corps and seized Alesta. This victory reminds Ike of previous occasions when the Alliance of Kings managed to outnumber and defeat the Demon Lord’s army three times.

Additionally, he implies that Ivalias should be the focus of the Alliance’s future attacks because they aim to seize Arsenam from demons. Consequently, Ike seeks out another demon to create firearms using alchemy. Unfortunately, she explains that it cannot be done as the weapons shatter upon firing a single bullet.

The alchemist demon recommends that they construct individual components of the firearms using both metal and wood, then produce these items in quantity. She also advises seeking assistance from dwarves, known for their exceptional craftsmanship with metals. Moreover, Ike understands that approaching the Dwarf King could potentially secure help from the dwarves.

Sadly, following the harsh conflict between dwarves and humans, the Dwarf King found himself imprisoned in the Ismuth Kingdom. During this dreadful war, humans were merciless towards dwarves, destroyed their realm, and captured their king when he refused to aid them. As a result, the Dwarf King’s son and his people had to disperse due to displacement.

In a visit to Ismuth Prison, Lilith and Jiron aim to free the Dwarf King. When the king’s inquiries become bothersome, Lilith uses magic to tranquilize him, and afterwards, Jiron carries the unconscious monarch on his back. Their careless antics, however, lead to the army’s discovery. Ike steps in to delay the army as they pursue Lilith and Jiron.

Following Gunther, the Dwarf King’s awakening, Ike asks for his assistance in handling the firearms. Gunther replies that the task is intricate but he is capable. Yet, he declines to offer aid to demons or humans as they always seek to exploit dwarves. Despite Ike’s argument for peaceful coexistence, Gunther remains firm in his decision.

Ike empathizes with Ivalias’s unfamiliarity and guides him through the city, where humans and demons coexist harmoniously. Despite being taken aback, Gunther declines any form of enslavement due to his people’s plight. Consequently, Ike proposes restoring peace by appealing to the Demon Lord for help in rebuilding the dwarf kingdom.

Instead, Ike leads Gunther to the room filled with those rescued, including his son Batson and others. He shares how Ike provided them with shelter and sustenance. Overjoyed by their well-being, Gunther consents to support Ike in his aspirations.

The final scene shows the human forces gearing up for an assault on Ivalias and reclaiming Arsenum. With a force of twelve thousand soldiers against Ivalias’ mere five hundred, they are optimistic about their chances in the upcoming conflict.
