The first trailer for The Strangers – Chapter 2 has been released.
In May 2024, the first chapter of “The Strangers” was debuted in American cinemas. This new take on the 2008 movie shares the same title, with Renny Harlin at the helm as director and Madelaine Petsch portraying the character Maya Lucas.
In a fresh development for the Strangers series, moviegoers can look forward to the commencement of a trilogy with “The Strangers: Chapter 1,” currently playing. It’s been announced that “The Strangers – Chapter 2” is set to premiere in theaters this September, courtesy of Lionsgate. Interestingly, all three movies were shot in 2022.

What happens in The Strangers – Chapter 2 trailer?
Continuing the storyline from The Strangers: Chapter 1, the trailer for The Strangers – Chapter 2 finds Maya, played by Petsch, attempting to survive against mysterious assailants wearing masks who are pursuing her with no apparent motive. Alongside Petsch, the film’s cast includes Gabriel Basso as Gregory and Ema Horvath portraying Shelly.
For the next spine-tingling installment of The Strangers series, the film’s tagline goes,” – as stated in the official synopsis. This production is brought to you by Lionsgate, in collaboration with Fifth Element, Stream Media, Sherborne Media, and Lipsync.
The screenplay is penned by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, whereas Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton, Christopher Milburn, Gary Raskin, Alastair Burlingham, and Charlie Dombek act as the movie’s producers.
In the first chapter of The Strangers, we saw a relatively successful run, pulling in approximately $48.2 million worldwide. Interestingly, the original 2008 release of The Strangers managed to make about $82.4 million more, while its sequel from 2018, titled The Strangers: Prey at Night, garnered around $32.1 million less.
In U.S. theaters, The Strangers – Chapter 2 is set for a release on September 26, 2025. This date was earlier reserved for the launch of Saw XI.
