The Sonic film franchise has grossed $1 billion at the global box office

The official Sonic the Hedgehog account on social media announced that the franchise has surpassed a staggering $1 billion at the global box office. Specifically, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has been a huge success, earning $211.5 million during its initial week after release on December 20. This was followed by a total of $336.3 million worldwide, as reported by Eurogamer. The first two Sonic the Hedgehog films had previously generated approximately $725.2 million, with an additional $181 million coming from home rentals and streaming of these movies.
