The premise of a deaf witness and a detective with permanent hearing loss working together to survive against ruthless killers in a confined space is not only unique but also promises an engaging narrative.
Paramount Pictures has unveiled the trailer for their upcoming action-packed crime thriller, “The Silent Hour,” which features Joel Kinnaman in the role of a detective who becomes deaf following an on-duty injury.
“Detective Frank Shaw from Boston resumes work following an injury that caused him permanent deafness, as stated in the movie synopsis. Assigned to help Ava Fremont, a mute witness to a violent gang murder, they find themselves trapped in a dilapidated building set for demolition when the criminals reappear intent on silencing her. With no connection to the outside, these two individuals who barely know each other must rely on one another to outwit killers they can’t hear approaching – their only chance at escaping and surviving.”

When is The Silent Hour release date?
Starting October 11, 2024, the premiere of “The Silent Hour” will take place in both theaters and on digital platforms. This movie is directed by Brad Anderson from a script penned by Dan Hall. The cast includes Kinnaman along with Sandra Mae Frank (from New Amsterdam), Mekhi Phifer (Lights Out), and Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service). The executive producers for this production are Aaron Barnett, Lauren Case, Anders Erden, Michael Ewing, Blair Ward, and Shannon D. Ward.
Kinnaman’s newest action-thriller is out, following his roles in last year’s Sympathy for the Devil alongside Nicolas Cage and John Woo’s Silent Night. The Suicide Squad actor will soon appear in the chilling Ice Fall, sharing screen time with Cara Jade Myers from Killers of the Flower Moon.
