As a fan who has been captivated by the grit and intensity of Joel Kinnaman’s performances in action-packed thrillers, I am utterly thrilled to see him take on yet another challenging role in “The Silent Hour.” The concept of a deaf witness and a detective with hearing loss working together to outsmart their assailants sounds like a gripping premise that will undoubtedly test the limits of human resilience.
Soon, ComingSoon will unveil a unique sneak peek of a clip from “The Silent Hour.” This advance look offers a glimpse into the forthcoming action-packed crime thriller, where Joel Kinnaman plays a detective who suffers hearing loss following an on-duty injury.
What happens in The Silent Hour clip?
As a gamer, I got a sneak peek at a heartfelt chat between Detective Frank Shaw, played by Kinnaman, who’s grappling with job-related hearing loss, and Ava, portrayed by Sandra Mae Frank. The movie promises to delve into Shaw’s mission to safeguard Ava, a deaf bystander who saw a violent gang crime.
Beginning October 11, 2024, “The Silent Hour” will premiere both in cinemas and digitally. This film is directed by Brad Anderson, with a screenplay penned by Dan Hall. Alongside Kinnaman Frank (known for his role in New Amsterdam), we have Mekhi Phifer from Lights Out and Mark Strong from Kingsman: The Secret Service, among other talented actors, gracing the screen.

In the official movie summary, we find that Boston detective Frank Shaw resumes his job following a serious injury that resulted in permanent deafness. He is assigned to assist Ava Fremont, a mute witness to a gruesome gang murder. Together, they are trapped in an old, condemned building as the killers return to silence her forever. With no connection to the outside world, these unlikely partners must rely on each other to outwit their adversaries who are silent assassins, in order to survive and escape.
Kinnaman’s newest action-thriller is coming up, following his roles in “Sympathy for the Devil” last year alongside Nicolas Cage and John Woo’s “Silent Night”. You can expect to see him next in the chilling film “Ice Fall”, co-starring Cara Jade Myers from “Killers of the Flower Moon”.
