The Secret Art of Human Flight starring Maggie Grace comes to VOD in August

As an avid movie enthusiast who’s seen more films than I can count stars (and I mean that quite literally!), I must say that The Secret Art of Human Flight has caught my eye. With such a stellar cast, including Maggie Grace from Taken and Lost, Paul Raci from Sound of Metal, and Grant Rosenmeyer from The Royal Tenenbaums, it’s hard not to get excited.

Actress Maggie Grace is set to star in the science fiction comedy-drama “The Secret Art of Human Flight,” set for release on demand starting August 23rd.

At the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival, an indie movie, helmed by director H.P. Mendoza (known for “Fruit Fly” and “I Am a Ghost”) and scripted by Jesse Orenshein (recognized for “American Ninja Warrior”), made its debut. In the following year, Level 33 Entertainment secured distribution rights, and the film hit theaters in July.

As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that the phenomenal Paul Raci, who stole the show in Sound of Metal, is joining forces with Grace, Grant Rosenmeyer, Lucy DeVito, Nican Robinson, Reina Hardesty, Rosa Arredondo, and Sendhil Ramamurthy in our upcoming project. Can’t wait to see this stellar cast bring their A-game!

Following the unexpected loss of his wife, Ben (Rosenmeyer) finds himself overwhelmed by sorrow and distances himself from his sister and her spouse. In his quest for solace, he ventures into the deep recesses of the internet and stumbles upon a book authored by an unconventional spiritual guide named Mealworm (Raci). The book promises to reveal the secret of soaring through the skies. Eager to learn this elusive skill, Ben procures the book, only for Mealworm himself to show up shortly thereafter. This unexpected encounter initiates a journey orchestrated by Mealworm, where Ben must confront his personal struggles, such as family discord, suspicions of wrongdoing, and peculiar rituals, all in an attempt to cope with his grief and potentially gain the power of flight.

“The Hidden Mastery of Soaring through Humanity” is currently garnering a 95% approval from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, boasting a perfect 100% rating among audiences. Critics from Variety and RogerEbert.com have applauded the film, praising Mendoza’s direction and Raci’s impressive supporting role. Catch a glimpse of this movie in the trailer below.
