As a die-hard gamer, I’ve always admired The Rock, the legendary figure in the WWE world, famously known as “The People’s Champion”. However, it seems like one of the Bloodline members has snatched that title away from him lately. Over his illustrious career, he’s been hailed by many names – The Great One, The Brahma Bull, and yes, The People’s Champion.
Previously, The People’s Champion made an appearance on WWE NXT: New Year’s Evil, delivering a captivating speech. Just the night before, The Rock ignited the premiere of Netflix’s WWE RAW at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. His last WWE performance took place at WWE Bad Blood in October, where he crossed paths with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, hinting at a potential future clash with either one of them.
Spectators thought The Rock would engage Rhodes or Reigns during the Netflix debut, but instead, he took everyone by surprise with his unusual behavior. Although he’s known for his antagonistic Final Boss character, he exhibited a remarkably tender side towards them.
Various people had discussed the possibility of a WrestleMania 41 match, but those prospects seemed less likely after his behavior. Lately, it’s been reported that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was extremely upset when news surfaced about him not wrestling at this year’s WrestleMania.

In 2024, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson became a part of The Bloodline in WWE and introduced his Final Boss character. However, despite The Rock’s well-earned reputation as the People’s Champion, Jey Uso, who won the Royal Rumble in 2025, has started using that title himself, seemingly adopting The Rock’s legendary mantle.
Jey Uso calls himself the new people’s champion in WWE
Recently, WWE star Jey Uso had a chat with ex-UFC champion Daniel Cormier. In this discussion, they delved into the unique bond that professional wrestlers often form with their audience.
The professional wrestler declared, “I’ve become the champion of the masses! Soon, I shall claim this title, but I truly appreciate the people, as I believe they’ve witnessed my journey to success. They’ve seen my entire tale unfold before their eyes.
Jey Uso discussed how he was initially not expected to be the main star. He explained, “Mark Henry mentioned on their podcast that it’s the audience who chose Jey, which is why it’s working for him. They’re not forcing anyone onto anyone; they’re allowing people to make their own choices. People are watching me perform, and I feel like they can relate to my journey.
It’s intriguing to ponder whether Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will react to Jey Uso’s proclamation of himself as the new People’s Champion.
