The drowsiness, the corpses, and the looming sense of danger are enough to make any seasoned gamer’s heart race. But hey, it’s just another day in the life of a stalker, right?

In Stalker 2, the unusual poppy field may initially unnerve you due to its sheer size being an ever-present anomaly that aims to lull you into slumber. An adjacent character might warn you about his occupation of collecting the remains of the deceased, hinting at the area’s grim nature. Here’s a guide on how to navigate this treacherous landscape and accomplish your mission.

The poppy field walkthrough – Stalker 2

On a mission for Mityay, whom you encounter in Zalissya, you’re directed to a poppy field. Inside the central structure there – where your sleeping quarters and storage are kept – is where you’ll find him. Engage in conversation with him, and he will task you with retrieving a sacred artifact hidden in a nearby root cellar.

Make your way towards the northwest from Zalissya, and as you follow the river’s bend, you’ll come across some factory remains before reaching the poppy field. For now, stay clear of it. Instead, a character named Pomor will reach out to you via call. Head to the house nearby where he resides, and he’ll share important information regarding the risks associated with that very poppy field.

In simpler terms, the poppy field may induce such deep sleep that it could prove fatal. I’m on a quest to find a sacred artifact, but I’m unsure about the location of the underground storage room. Ask him if he knows where the root cellar is and he might offer three possibilities.

  • He knows where the cellar is and will tell you for 2000 coupons
  • He will tell you if you loot some nearby bodies for him among the poppies
  • He will not tell you, and you are on your own

Additionally, he proposes to purchase the icon from you at a later time and provides you with a high-quality AR416 rifle known as the “Unknown Stalker’s AR416” in exchange. Remember this offer.

Option A: In exchange for taking the job, his instructions for looting the corpses will be uploaded to your PDA. Navigate through the poppies by consuming energy drinks; they’ll keep you alert. You can locate these drinks in every house, and some of the deceased even carry them in their belongings.

To avoid being hindered or slowed down, it’s crucial to keep your distance from becoming overburdened. Each of the five locations carries some equipment, and you want to maintain a swift pace.
