List of all major DC Easter eggs and references in The Penguin Episode 6

The Penguin Episode 6 featured numerous interesting DC easter eggs which are listed as follows:

Victor Aguilar’s motorcycle ride

In the beginning of Episode 6, Victor Aguilar, Penguin’s trusted associate, is spotted cruising on a motorbike. He navigates through multiple subterranean passages en route to Oz’s fresh headquarters at the central trolley station. Aguilar’s motorbike journey bears a resemblance to Bruce Wayne’s initial scenes in The Batman movie, where he too rides a motorcycle through tunnels underground. Nevertheless, the tunnels depicted in Penguin’s scene are distinct from those shown in The Batman.

The LoBoys gang

As a dedicated comic-book enthusiast and avid gamer, I’ve found myself immersed in the chaotic underworld of Gotham City. In the captivating Fox show, I’ve witnessed the notorious LoBoys, a gang straight out of the comics, locking horns with none other than the cunning Penguin. Interestingly enough, in this gripping series, two powerful female members of the LoBoys have taken center stage in a pivotal summit meeting, adding an exciting twist to their already intriguing narrative.

Pauli’s Diner

In a particular scene, Oz queries whether his mom recollects their visit to “Pauli’s Restaurant.” Notably, Pauli’s establishment appears in the introductory sequence of the Arkham Knight video game. Moreover, this dining experience is also depicted in the LEGO DC Supervillains game.

Penguin’s brother’s pictures

As the story progresses, Sal and Sofia come across an old photograph of Oz, alongside his siblings Jack and Benny, from their childhood days.

The corrupt Councilman Handy

In the scene, it appears that Oz poses a threat to Mayor Handy, who’s known for being one of the most dishonest leaders in Gotham City. Handy, similarly, exhibits corruption in the series, “The Penguin.

The Sullivan crime family

In addition to the Penguin’s portrayal, the series highlights an old crime syndicate based in Gotham known as the Sullivan family, commonly referred to as “The Irish Gang.” Despite their long-standing history, they aren’t particularly powerful. This gang is also present in the original comics, where they were once under the employ of the infamous mobster Carmine Falcone. However, they faced their downfall during The Long Halloween storyline.
