The one thriller limited series you have to watch before 2024 ends

As a seasoned gamer of both virtual and real-life thrillers, I can confidently say that The Madness is a must-watch limited series this holiday season. With Colman Domingo’s captivating performance and a gripping storyline, it’s like being immersed in an epic role-playing game where every twist and turn keeps you guessing until the very end.

It’s not unexpected that limited series remain among the top watched shows on Netflix every month. Compared to regular TV series, they’re typically shorter and designed to tell a complete story within a single viewing session. This year has had its share of successful limited series on Netflix, but there’s one more you should make time for before the end of the year.

Award-winning actor Colman Domingo takes center stage in the gripping conspiracy thriller mini-series titled “The Madness” on Netflix, debuting this coming Thanksgiving Day, November 28th (known as Thanksgiving in the United States). If you’re a fan of suspenseful series, this one is not to be overlooked. It boasts an intriguing plot, heinous murders, and a talented ensemble cast that promises a captivating watch.

Here’s a little bit about the show via its official logline:

In The Madness, media pundit Muncie Daniels (Colman Domingo) must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos woods. As the walls close in, Muncie strives to reconnect with his estranged family – and his lost ideals – in order to survive.

Domingo received an Oscar nomination for his lead performance in the Netflix film “Rustin,” and he took home an Emmy for his work on HBO’s teen show “Euphoria.” With his upcoming Netflix limited series, there’s a strong chance he’ll receive another Emmy nod and maybe even win with “The Madness.” As Muncie Daniels, a TV figure under suspicion of murder, Domingo truly shines in this role.

The actor shared with Netflix’s Tudum what drew him to the role of Muncie:

It was a unique protagonist, one that I had never seen or experienced. Someone who has very centrist beliefs, and now they’re being thrust into the world to really hard-core believe in something and to reexamine the people that they believed were possible enemies. You realize you have more in common with them than you thought you had in the beginning. I think it says a lot about who we are now and what we’re willing to do, and also to look at who’s really pulling the strings and for whose benefit.

As a gaming enthusiast, if there’s one TV series I can’t stress enough to add to your watchlist this year, it’s undoubtedly “The Madness”. With the plethora of movies and shows flooding our screens from every streaming platform, trust me when I say this is one title that’s worth investing your time in. It’s a mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat, leaving you guessing at every turn. By the time Thanksgiving rolls around, I guarantee everyone will be discussing it!
