As a seasoned fan of quirky and unique visual novels, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming remake of “Death Match Love Comedy!” The premise alone is enough to pique my interest, but when I learned that it’s connected to “Raging Loop,” a game I’ve spent countless hours immersed in, I knew I was in for a wild ride.
Developer KEMCO’s game “Death Match Love Comedy!” will get a complete overhaul for all platforms and be released by Publisher PQube no later than the year 2025.
What is Death Match Love Comedy!?
Kei Yagi, being a freshman at school, is on the verge of getting more than one love declaration from two of his fellow students.
All is fine and well, if a bit awkward, but the moment they open their mouths, Kei suddenly just… explodes!
It turns out, he doesn’t perish after all. However, he soon realizes it was all a trick of the mind, but he still bears a dreadful curse: when he genuinely encounters a heartfelt declaration of love in the future, he will disintegrate and meet his end.
This game manages to get the player hooked by just the absurdity of the story. It’s wild ride, that’s for sure, with lots of “slapstick comedy, occult experiences, and romance!”
As a gamer, I absolutely love games that offer various outcomes. From the most disastrous to the most triumphant scenarios, every ending matters to me. To help me traverse the different story paths, there’s this handy chart system in place, making it a breeze for me to explore each and every ending the game has to offer. It’s a dream come true for anyone like me who enjoys experiencing the full spectrum of a game’s narrative.
An additional helpful feature is the warning light indicating confessions at the screen’s peak, ensuring that the gamer understands that it’s now crucial to choose appropriately in order to achieve the preferred outcome.
If you’ve ever experienced the game “Raging Loop”, the world of “Death Match Love Comedy!” is set in a parallel universe, making for an interesting link between the two!
The visual novel-style video game is slated for a Western release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and Steam (PC) around the year 2025.
