Ed Helms from “The Office” is speaking out about the possibility of Andy Bernard making a comeback in the upcoming spin-off series titled “The Paper.

Actor Ed Helms first appeared as character Andy Bernard in the third year of NBC’s hit show The Office. He continued portraying this role until the series ended after nine successful seasons in 2013.

Currently, Greg Daniels is developing a sequel/spin-off series for Peacock named “The Paper.” Unlike the original, the series will primarily introduce a fresh set of characters, but it’s been confirmed that Oscar Nuñez will reappear as Oscar Martinez in this upcoming show.

What did The Office’s Ed Helms say about The Paper?

During an interview with The View, as reported by TV Insider, Helms was questioned about whether fans of the Nard Dog character could look forward to his reappearance in The Paper. In simpler terms, he was asked if fans should expect to see the Nard Dog again in the upcoming film, The Paper.

As a fervent admirer, I must confess I’m in the dark about that matter. Regrettably, I can’t provide any insights at this time. Moreover, it remains uncertain whether we’ll see Andy grace our presence. I haven’t received any updates; no call has been made yet.

Helms did note that he “hopes” to be part of The Paper.

He casually proposed an idea, saying, “I’m going to put it out there for everyone to consider.” Referring to Greg Daniels, the creator of this series, he expressed his confidence, stating, “This show is in good hands and I believe it will turn out wonderfully, even exceptionally well.
