The Odyssey Cast Adds Jesse Garcia & Will Yun Lee to Christopher Nolan’s Epic

The ever-expanding cast of “The Odyssey” includes Jesse Garcia and Will Yun Lee, as confirmed by Deadline, who are set to appear in the forthcoming epic directed by Christopher Nolan.

In line with previous announcements, the characters that Garcia and Lee will portray are yet to be disclosed, as there’s no clear indication of who is playing whom at present. Notably, Garcia is recognized for his roles in the 2006 independent film Quinceañera and more recently in Flamin’ Hot and The Mother which premiered in 2023.

Known for a myriad of roles across various productions, Will Yun Lee gained prominence through his appearances on Netflix’s Altered Carbon series and ABC’s medical drama The Good Doctor. More recently, he provided voice acting for Blade Runner: Black Lotus, where he portrayed the character Joseph in the English version of this anime.

Who else is in The Odyssey cast?

The two actors are now part of a highly distinguished ensemble, which includes Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Benny Safdie, and Jon Bernthal, who were all previously announced for the upcoming project.

Initial indications point towards Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Anne Hathaway forming the primary cast members in the upcoming film.

Christopher Nolan’s future movie, titled “The Odyssey,” is a grand, mythic action adventure set to be filmed globally using cutting-edge IMAX film technology, as announced by Universal. This marks the first time Homer’s timeless tale will appear on IMAX screens. The film is scheduled for release in cinemas worldwide on July 17, 2026.

One of the renowned epic poems from ancient Greece, known as The Odyssey, is traditionally linked to Homer, a highly regarded Greek poet. He is also believed to be the writer of the Iliad, and his works have significantly impacted the course of literature throughout human history.

The epic tale, The Odyssey, narrates the adventures of the legendary Greek hero, King Odysseus of Ithaca, upon his return voyage home following the Trojan War. With Odysseus presumed deceased, his wife Penelope and son Telemachus navigate the complexities of unwanted suitors vying for Penelope’s affection during their long wait for Odysseus’ eventual return.

In the 8th or 7th century BC, it’s believed that The Odyssey was penned down, a work that holds immense significance in the annals of literature.
