The Miz Comments on Fewer Matches at WWE PLE’s

As a longtime WWE fan and fervent supporter of The Miz, I firmly believe that he deserves a memorable moment at SummerSlam in his hometown of Cleveland. The man has dedicated over two decades of his life to professional wrestling, bringing excitement, drama, and unforgettable moments to fans worldwide.

On Raw a few weeks prior to WWE SummerSlam 2024, half of the previous WWE Tag Team Champions, The Miz, dropped their titles. The Miz and R-Truth had reunited their tag team, named Awesome Truth, which they initially established in 2011.

At WrestleMania 40, an excellent choice for The Miz and R-Truth was their tag team title win in Awesome Truth Reformation. This victory granted them each a cherished moment at WrestleMania. However, their tenure as champions proved to be brief. Recently on Raw, Liv Morgan deceived R-Truth into defending the titles against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh from The Judgment Day. Sadly, this led to their loss of the Raw Tag Team Titles.

As SummerSlam draws near, set in The Miz’s hometown, fans ponder: will The Awesome Truth have an opportunity for redemption? They’ve pledged to regain their titles but haven’t been granted a rematch yet. With WWE limiting the number of matches at Pay-Per-Views to around four or five, the prospects appear unclear. The Miz himself spoke about this on TV Insider.

Triple H is acknowledged as one of the most brilliant minds in professional wrestling. He not only excels in his current role, but also serves as a valuable advisor. If I require insights into crafting a compelling match, he can provide detailed guidance on how to engage the audience and develop the storyline. The excitement in the locker room is palpable, as wrestling is currently thriving. Considering today’s top stars, I am thrilled about our Premium Live Events, which feature five to six captivating matches each time.

The Miz uncertain about his WWE SummerSlam match

Previously successful tag team title holder The Miz expresses his satisfaction with WWE’s current format of fewer matches in events. However, he is currently facing a predicament as he ponders whether he will participate in a bout at this summer’s SummerSlam in Cleveland.

Having worked in the world of professional wrestling for two decades, I can attest to the fact that crafting compelling storylines for pay-per-views (PLEs) is no easy task. The SummerSlam event at Cleveland Browns stadium, with its personal significance to me as a lifelong fan of the team from my hometown, presents a unique and perhaps once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

At Summerslam in Cleveland, it’s only fair that The Miz gets his shining moment. He’s consistently gone above and beyond to support and lift up others. Let’s give him a triumphant victory in his beloved hometown. #AETV #MikeTheMiz #TripleH #RonKillings

Two matches have been set for the upcoming show as of now, but rumors indicate that WWE may not have any planned appearances for The Miz at the moment. Nevertheless, considering that SummerSlam is just around the corner, schedules can still be adjusted.
