As a long-time fan of Marvel comics and video games, I must say that Marvel Rivals has quickly become one of my favorites. The fast-paced action, the iconic characters, and the competitive multiplayer are a perfect blend for me. However, as someone who’s been around the block a few times, I can’t help but notice the imbalance in the game right now.
For the past three days, the fresh arena-style shooter game called “Marvel Rivals” has been available in an early version, and it’s already garnering plenty of favorable comments.
The game has experienced rapid growth in popularity on Steam, climbing to the fourth most played position with an average of more than 250,000 players, and is increasingly gaining favor among streamers and audiences on Twitch.
In Marvel Rivals, players choose a Marvel hero to battle opposing teams in multiple arenas.
The game is becoming well-known for its quick-moving features, and some have even referred to it as a possible contender to dethrone the popular game Overwatch.
However, there are some concerns about balance issues, particularly with two characters:
Jeff the Land Shark and Iron Fist are op
Prior to now, not widely recognized, Jeff the Land Shark’s healing and agility skills have swiftly propelled him into a beloved character, adored by some but disliked by others.
His ultimate, It’s Jeff, is especially frustrating for opponents, as it allows him to swallow enemies, spit them out, and isolate them from their team, turning the tide of battles.
As a result, he has become a hated opponent on various platforms.

But Iron Fist is not far behind in terms of being broken.
The issue with Iron Fist lies in his remarkable capacity to endure unexpectedly high levels of harm, coupled with his extraordinarily swift movements.
Thanks to abilities such as Jeet Kune Do, where he delivers a punch and simultaneously adjusts his position with a Dragon Kick, Iron Fist is able to swiftly overpower opponents and move freely across the map at will.
Basically, he can beat you up in a matter of seconds and disappear just as quickly.
Some even compare him to Iron Man, even though Iron Fist can’t even fly.

However, his swiftness and nimbleness allowed for a video where he held his own against Iron Man’s aerial abilities, showing no signs of being outmatched.

Currently, social media platforms are brimming with videos, ridicule, and bewilderment regarding the capabilities of these two figures.
It’s uncertain if the developers will handle these issues by reducing power levels in the upcoming update.
Until then, having either Jeff or Iron Fist on your team is a huge advantage.
