After kicking off a global festival tour, The Marías have lifted the veil on some new music.
The band unveiled that they would release a fresh single titled “Back to Me”, however, they threw their audience for a loop by actually releasing a double pack instead. “Nobody New” was unexpectedly included as the second track in this set.
The band shared that they composed ‘Nobody New’ a couple of years back following the completion of the album ‘Submarine.’ They described it as one of the lesser-known tracks from the same album, maintaining its connection to the same thematic universe.
‘Back to Me’ was penned a couple of months after our studio sessions as a band. The guys were tinkering with fresh synth sounds and chords, and I swiftly stepped into the recording booth, where the melody and lyrics flowed effortlessly, almost as if the song had its own creation process. Upon completion, it seemed to mark the start of a fresh chapter beyond ‘Submarine’, serving as an introduction to a new realm.
