What is The Line about?
“The Line” delves into the treacherous realm of college fraternities where unwavering devotion to tradition reigns. In this story, Alex Wolff plays Tom, a scholarship recipient yearning to transcend his working-class past, who is captivated by the KNA fraternity’s assurances of elite social standing and alumni networks that pave the way for opportunities. However, as he develops feelings for Annabelle (Halle Bailey), a peer from outside his social circle, and the underhanded tactics of the fraternity president (Lewis Pullman) come to light during the initiation process of new members, Tom finds himself entangled in a precarious web of ambition and loyalty.
In addition to the main actors, you’ll find Austin Abrams from “Do Revenge”, Bo Mitchell known for “Cobra Kai”, Cheri Oteri famed in “Scary Movie”, Scoot McNairy who played a role in “Speak No Evil”, and Denise Richards recognized for her work in “Starship Troopers” in this movie as well.
For the first time as a movie director, Ethan Berger is stepping into the spotlight with his film titled “The Line.” Previously, Berger had contributions as a writer and producer for the ESPN miniseries ‘More Than an Athlete,’ which consisted of eight episodes. Together with Alex Russek, he co-authored the script for this upcoming project.
Alexandre Dauman, Jack Parker, Adam Paulsen, and Lije Sarki act as producers, with Taylor Grant, Zack Purdo, Ramanan Sivalingam, Dustin Zhang, Magnus Rausing, Ryan Alexander, Stacey Grant, Jay Van Hoy, and Marc Porterfield serving as executive producers.
In the year 2023, “The Line” made its debut at the Tribeca Festival and garnered favorable feedback from critics. On October 18, 2024, the film will be unveiled in selected cities across the United States by Utopia. Following this initial release, it will broaden its reach on October 23, 2024.
