When is The Life of Chuck release date window?

The movie that won the Audience Award at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival is set to be released in the summer of 2025. Notably, Neon has distributed many prominent films such as Parasite, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Anatomy of a Fall, Longlegs, and the upcoming Anora.

The plot of this movie unfolds from the perspective of a story told backward, as it’s adapted from a novella. The main character, Chuck, experiences a journey through time in reverse, starting after his death. As he witnesses past events, he develops an intense fascination with a former student who may possess a unique talent.

The movie is a film adaptation of Stephen King’s novella with the same title, which was included in his 2020 collection titled “If It Bleeds.” Mike Flanagan handles both writing and directing duties for this production, boasting an impressive lineup of actors such as Tom Hiddleston, Nick Offerman, Mark Hamill, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Jacob Tremblay, Mia Sara, Q’orianka Kilcher, Matthew Lillard, Harvey Guillén, Kate Siegel, David Dastmalchian, Carl Lumbly, Rahul Kohli, Violet McGraw, Molly Quinn, and Heather Lagenkamp.

It’s been made official that Chris Hiddleston will be executing a complex choreographed dance routine right in the heart of The Life of Chuck, as confirmed by both Hiddleston and Flanagan.

In six weeks, Hiddleston shared, he was required to master an entire dance training program. This included learning jazz, swing, salsa, cha-cha, the Charleston, bossa nova, polka, quickstep, and samba. He aimed to pay tribute to any dance style that could have impacted Chuck, incorporating perhaps a touch of Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire, definitely moonwalking – as Stephen King is very particular about the moonwalk.
