As a die-hard fan, I’m absolutely thrilled about the upcoming premiere of “The Last of Us” on April 13, 2025! The latest trailer has been nothing short of phenomenal, breaking records and surpassing all previous teasers and trailers by at least 160%! It’s a testament to the anticipation building around this incredible series. Can’t wait to see what’s in store!
What is the viewership record for The Last of Us Season 2 trailer?
In just the initial three days following its debut during The Last of Us panel at SXSW, the groundbreaking trailer garnered a stunning 158 million views worldwide across various platforms, making it the most-viewed trailer for HBO and Max Original to date.
Without a doubt, given the thrilling end of Season 1, it’s no wonder viewers are eagerly waiting for the upcoming Season 2. The trailer showcases Pedro Pascal’s character, Joel Miller, whose actions at the end of Season 1 set off the tension and drama that will unfold in Season 2.
Approximately two years after its first season premiered, the second season of our post-apocalyptic drama is set to air. Pedro Pascal reprises his role as Joel, while Bella Ramsey will once again play Ellie. The cast also includes Gabriel Luna portraying Joel’s younger brother Tommy and Rutina Wesley as Maria, both returning for the new season.
The second season will bring some fresh characters on board. These include Kaitlyn Dever playing Abby, Young Mazino portraying Jesse, Isabela Merced taking up the role of Dina, Danny Ramirez cast as Manny, Ariela Barer acting as Mel, Tati Gabrielle appearing as Nora, Jeffrey Wright characterizing Isaac Dixon, and Catherine O’Hara joining the cast as Joel’s therapist, as hinted in the trailer.
