A premiere date for The Last of Us Season 2 has been announced.
Starting from early 2023, the critically acclaimed TV show adaptation of Naughty Dog’s PlayStation game franchise “The Last of Us” debuted. Not long after its premiere, HBO announced a second season renewal for the series, and even plans for a third season are underway.
When is the premiere date for The Last of Us Season 2?
On Sunday, the 13th of April, 2025, catch the debut of Season 2 of “The Last of Us” at 9 p.m., both on HBO and Max. In all, there will be a total of seven captivating episodes in this new season.

Five years later, Joel and Ellie find themselves at odds with each other and facing a world that’s become even more perilous and unstable compared to the one they initially departed from.
The series features Pedro Pascal playing the character Joel, Bella Ramsey portraying Ellie, Gabriel Luna taking on the role of Tommy, Rutina Wesley cast as Maria, Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced in the part of Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez playing Manny, and Jeffrey Wright assuming the role of Isaac.
Or, more concisely: Pedro Pascal is Joel, Bella Ramsey plays Ellie, Gabriel Luna stars as Tommy, Rutina Wesley takes on Maria, Kaitlyn Dever becomes Abby, Isabela Merced embodies Dina, Young Mazino portrays Jesse, Ariela Barer assumes Mel, Tati Gabrielle is Nora, Spencer Lord acts as Owen, Danny Ramirez plays Manny, and Jeffrey Wright portrays Isaac in the series.
Additionally, Catherine O’Hara is playing an undisclosed character in The Last of Us Season 2.
The series is created and overseen by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, with Sony Pictures Television serving as a collaborator in this role as well, under the guidance of Carolyn Strauss, Jaqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells. Halley Gross contributes as a writer and associate producer, while PlayStation Productions, Word Games, Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog are the production companies involved.
