The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered finally makes its way to PC

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say I am beyond excited for the PC release of “The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered“. Having played the original on PlayStation and subsequently on PS5, I can attest to the masterful storytelling and immersive gameplay that this title offers. The collaboration between Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy Studios promises a polished PC adaptation that will undoubtedly be a feast for the eyes and an absolute joy to play.

In June 2020, an enhanced edition of The Last of Us Part 2 titled “The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered” was launched for PlayStation 4. This game later made its debut on PlayStation 5 in January 2024. The remastered version showcased significant upgrades such as improved graphics and performance optimizations. Excitingly, a PC adaptation of the game has been confirmed, with a scheduled release date of April 3, 2025.

A collaboration of industry veterans

This PC version is being created through a collaboration between two well-known game studios: Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy Studios. Nixxes, recognized for producing refined PC adaptations of popular series like Horizon, is lending its skills to ensure a smooth transition. Likewise, Iron Galaxy Studios, with its expertise in managing complex porting tasks, is adding to what we aim will be an exceptional PC version.

Without revealing precise PC specs, players can anticipate similar upgrades found in the PS5 version, including enhanced visuals, quicker load times, and potentially more customization options designed for PC hardware. Given the studios involved, there’s a lot of excitement about the potential for top-notch optimization and performance.
