As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share the expansion of Seiko’s King Seiko collection with five fresh models, all inspired by the sprawling city where this iconic timepiece was born – Tokyo! The theme for these new masterpieces is the breathtaking Tokyo horizon, and they also pay tribute to the original ’70s collection. This urban influence can be seen woven throughout the entire 5-model collection, from the Tokyo Twilight, Tokyo Midnight, Tokyo Sunrise, Tokyo Horizon, and Tokyo Brilliant Sunlight – each one showcasing unique color palettes that echo the ever-changing colors of Tokyo’s sky.
Each King Seiko Vanac model comes enclosed in a stainless steel casing that includes a metal band, measuring 41mm across. Inside, the watch houses an in-house mechanical caliber, specifically the 8L45. Renowned for its precision, this movement keeps time within +10/-5 seconds daily and boasts a three-day power reserve.
From the assortment, there are only 700 worldwide versions of Tokyo Horizon, a special edition watch. On the other hand, Tokyo Brilliant Sunlight is exclusively sold at the Seiko Boutique on New Bond Street, London. These watches can be pre-ordered currently through Seiko and will officially debut in July for £2,900 GBP or $3,300 USD each.
