This week, they officially announced The House of the Dead 2: Remake for both PC and gaming consoles, promising updated graphics for this classic light-gun horror game before its anticipated spring 2025 launch.
Today, Forever Entertainment and developer MegaPixel Studio unveiled The House of the Dead 2: Remake, showcasing its debut trailer. Set for release in spring 2025, this remake will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The game remains true to the original with classic gameplay and co-op functionality, complete with branching paths and multiple endings. The House of the Dead 2: Remake will boast enhanced visuals and an upgraded soundtrack. Additionally, it offers new gameplay options including a Training Mode for practicing and a Boss Mode to challenge the game’s toughest adversaries.

Currently, Forever Entertainment is focusing their efforts on revamping numerous classic games for a modern audience. They’ve already remade games like Panzer Dragoon, Front Mission, and even gave the first House of the Dead game a facelift. Now, they appear to be planning to bring back the second installment as well, which is highly anticipated given its reputation as one of the best in the series. The original also spawned a spin-off called The Typing of the Dead, where players learned typing skills by blasting zombies!
