When is the release date for HBO’s The Franchise?

On Sunday, the 6th of October, 2024, you’ll find the debut of the Franchise airing at 10 PM on HBO. Additionally, it can be streamed on Max.

In this comedy series, we delve into the behind-the-scenes turmoil of a disregarded movie franchise’s crew as they strive to survive in a rough and tumble film universe. The show explores the hidden madness within superhero film production, seeking to answer the question – what are the roots of every mistake? As every flaw has its own origin story.

Patel has gained recognition for his roles in various films and TV shows. Notably, he acted in Danny Boyle’s Yesterday, which came out in 2019. He also appeared in Tenet from 2020, Don’t Look Up in 2021, Enola Holmes 2 in 2022, Good Grief in 2023, and recently in Greedy People from 2024. Furthermore, he has been a part of several TV series including EastEnders, Damned, Avenue 5, Station Eleven, and others.

In The Franchise, alongside Patel playing the role of Daniel, we have Aya Cash portraying Anita, Jessica Hynes as Steph, Billy Magnussen taking on Adam, Lolly Adefope as Dag, Darren Goldstein assuming Pat’s character, Isaac Powell acting as Bryson, Richard E. Grant stepping into Peter, and Daniel Brühl cast as Eric.

As a devoted admirer, let me share that Neal Street Productions’ executive producers include myself alongside Armando Iannucci (Dundee Productions), John Brown, and Jim Kleverweis. Notably, Jon Brown, our esteemed showrunner, penned the pilot episode, which was masterfully directed by none other than Sam Mendes himself.
