The First Descendant update 1.1.0 Season 1 patch notes – Hotfix
Content Improvements
(1) Content
- – Added visual hints (Ecive effects, chat messages) for locating Encrypted Vaults.
# Director’s Comment
Lately, we’ve noticed some challenges for hearing-impaired players in finding the Encrypted Vaults within The First Descendant game. To make things easier, we’ve integrated visual hints for these vaults. Our aim is to create a more inclusive and comfortable gaming environment for all players, including those with hearing difficulties. We hope this improvement benefits our hearing-impaired community, and we remain committed to enhancing accessibility across the game, ensuring everyone can enjoy an improved gaming experience.
- – Replaced missions in Hard Infiltration Operations with more combat-oriented ones.
- Increased the EXP reward for completing Hard Infiltration Operations. Also increased EXP for defeating monsters by 1.5 times.
- – You can now acquire rare basic materials as a reward for completing Hard Infiltration Operations.
- – Increased EXP for defeating monsters in Normal Infiltration Operations by 1.5 times.
# Director’s Comment
In the 1.1.0 update, the format for Hard Infiltration Operations has undergone a transformation. Previously called Occupation, Defense, and Escort missions, they are now referred to as Extermination or Destruction missions, offering players an action-packed, fast-paced combat experience while farming resources repeatedly. The EXP reward system has been revamped accordingly, providing more EXP for defeating monsters and completing missions in Hard Infiltration Operations, although Special Operations remain the superior choice for EXP farming. However, Infiltration Operations now offer a reasonable amount of EXP as well. Furthermore, the quantity of rare basic materials you can obtain from clearing Hard Infiltration Operations has also been boosted. We’re committed to expanding the game with content that caters to various combat preferences.
- – Monsters will no longer target players who are participating in other missions.
- – Story dialogues will no longer be repeated in Hard Difficulty missions. As a result, Hard Difficulty missions will not play additional voice lines or subtitles.
- – Changed the Immunity mechanics of certain Named Monsters. Replaced the sphere destruction mechanic of Eterllick, Celdir, Dmigor, and Plaudia with shooting weak points.
- – Increased the barrier hit range of Named Monster Eterllick.
- – Players will no longer be teleported when joining Largescale Outpost missions.
- – Increased the Gold reward for completing Hard Difficulty Largescale Outposts by approximately 3 times.
- – Improved the routes so that shards acquired from Void Fragments can be used on the Fusion Reactor in the same battlefield.
- – More than doubled the amount of shards obtained from Void Fragments.
- – Changed monster types and spawn locations in certain Void Fragment missions.
- ㄴ “Hagios: Dune Base,” “Vespers: Moonlight Lake,” “Echo Swamp: Abandoned Zone,” and “Fortress: Frozen Valley”
- – Removed the starting requirements (Void Shards) of Void Fusion Reactors and added requirements (Void Shards) to the Reconstructed Devices that appear in Fusion Reactors.
- – Made an improvement so that only one type of shard is required when using the Reconstructed Device in a Void Fusion Reactor.
- – Reduced the time to interact with Reconstructed Devices.
- – Summoned Reconstructed Devices now expire 10 seconds after all participants have used them.
# Director’s Comment
In the 1.1.0 update, we’ve ensured that completing a single run of a Void Fragment will provide enough Void Shards to activate the Reconstructed Devices in Fusion Reactors. We’ve also enhanced user-friendliness by having both Void Fragments and Fusion Reactors on the same battlefield drop and utilize the same type of shards. Previously, you could acquire two types of shards from Void Fragments; however, the Reconstructed Devices in Fusion Reactors now only need one type of shard, making gameplay even more accessible.
We’re always paying attention to feedback and making adjustments to enhance Outposts and Void Fragments. For lasting improvements, our development team is exploring concepts to transform Outposts into a continuous battle environment, while also streamlining the farming process for Void Fragments and Fusion Reactors by integrating relevant content.
In the 1.1.0 update, we’ve shifted the starting points for specific Void Fragment mission types to facilitate easier farming of attribute shards. Furthermore, we’ve introduced snipers in designated Void Fragment zones to discourage the application of macros.
in certain Void Fragment areas
We hope these changes will make your farming experience more enjoyable.
- – Players can now view the “Past Mission Results” from the menu after completing Special Operations, allowing them to restart the mission.
- – Improved display of the mission tooltip information on the Special Operation and Infiltration Operation World Map screen.
- – More than doubled the amount of shards that can be picked up in Special Operations.
- – Acquire additional Descendant EXP when completing waves in Special Operations.
# Director’s Comment
In our latest update, we’ve optimized the Special Operations for better experience point farming efficiency. Although some players find satisfaction in clearing Sterile Land Mines, we think the experience points gained from this method might not be as substantial as those from other farming methods like collecting Void Fragments. These simpler methods offer a more rewarding EXP gain.
In the latest update, we’ve introduced EXP rewards for clearing waves in Special Operations. The quickest mission, “Mine Blockade,” now grants approximately 1.5 times more EXP than previously, whereas “Resource Defense” and “Neutralize Experiment” offer double the amount of EXP. This should aid players in leveling up more effectively across various Special Operations.
(2) UI/UX
- – Fixed issue to allow multiple socket types to be assigned to a single module socket.
- ㄴ The socket type applied to Loadout Setting 1 can also be used for Settings 2 and 3 as well.

- ㄴ Each socket type for Loadout Settings 1, 2, 3 can be changed so they all may differ.

- – Made improvements to allow the ability to designate the quantity of researches when researching enhancement materials.
- – Reduced research time for [Standard/Precision] Ion Accelerator, Phase Exchanger, and Adjustment Control Axis.
# Director’s Comment
We have added the ability to select the quantity of researches when researching enhancement materials. One consequence of this change is that only two studies in the research list will result for each enhancement material. This means, previously, multiple Adjustment Control Axis could be simultaneously created; now, when it comes to Adjustment Control Axis, only two can be researched at the same time.
By incorporating a new feature that lets users choose how much research they want to carry out at once, players can now investigate up to 500 Adjustment Control Axes together. This means they can do more research in a single session, decreasing the number of trips needed to Anais. On the downside, since only one research task can be done at a time, fewer enhancement materials may be obtained quickly.
To ensure all players benefit equally, even in specific scenarios where they can only conduct one research at a time, we’ve streamlined the research process for enhancement materials. This means you’ll now accumulate a comparable amount of these materials over time, enhancing your research and material usage efficiency.
- – Made improvements to display only modules you have in duplicate when combining modules.
- – Increased the number of symbols that can be displayed, when designating them as Attached Items, to 8.
- – Made improvements to allow the ability to set an “Equipment Option” category in “Filter all as junk” for Reactors and External Components in equipment.
- – Changed the display location and design of the random options to improve inventory slots. Removed displays for the Reactor’s attributes/Arche type and fixed the display for External Components set effects.
- – The Reactor icon has changed so that it now varies, depending on the Arche type.
- Changed some External Component icons to differentiate their appearance based on their DEF, Shield, and HP stats.
# Director’s Comment
In Update 1.0.7, we incorporated details about random options, Arche type of Reactors, and External Component sets for item icons. However, it appears that this information overload was causing confusion among players. To address this issue, we’ve reorganized and simplified the presentation of icon data to make it cleaner and easier to navigate. Our development team will continue to take player feedback into account as we strive to enhance the game further, always keeping in mind the input from our community.

- – Improved “Void Charge” to restore “Void Walk” stacks and reset the Cooldown of “Expulsion” when used while enhanced.
# Director’s Comment
In the latest update, we’ve fine-tuned Ajax, Blair, and Jayber by making some adjustments to their balances.
