The First Descendant skin improvements arriving in Season 2
Among the standout features of The First Descendant lies the captivating assortment of character skins. These digital personas have won hearts among players, and their appeal is amplified by enticing and vibrant cosmetic options.
As a passionate fan, I’m excited about the upcoming Season 2, and I can’t help but notice that Nexon has been vocal about their intention to enhance character appearances to reflect more body diversity. This is particularly significant given Hailey’s endearing appeal, yet the complexity in developing such variety. Recently, TFD_PD_Lee shared on Discord that Nexon is focusing on “improvements aimed at enriching visual aspects.
These enhancements encompass a variety of options such as outfits that are stylish, trendy, or adorable, along with characters who will no longer wear helmets, and those who won’t have masks on. The developers are also working to correct any issues related to body shapes and ensuring the game caters to various body types. Regarding “mask-free heads,” Nexon is going to introduce an Ultimate Freyna head design without a mask, which they will offer as a reward in the Battle Pass or special events.
Regarding long-term enhancements, Nexon intends to create a more diverse selection of skins and fortify the character personalization system.
One of the biggest bones of contention with skins has been seasonal windows where they are no longer available to buy. For example, fans adored the swimsuit skins earlier this year, but they were seasonal only and thus no longer available to anyone joining the game anew. Fortunately, this will end with Season 2.
Regarding a question posed on Discord, TFD’s producer has confirmed that skins released from Season 2 onwards will have permanent availability. Although this is exciting news when Season 2 debuts, it signifies that “The Bunny/Glay nurse outfits, labeled as limited, will no longer be for sale once their sales period concludes.
