The official announcement confirms that Season 3 of The First Descendant won’t premiere until August, which is regrettable. However, a silver lining is that fans will get to enjoy some Season 3 content ahead of time, as Nexon plans to release it early. To sweeten the deal, they are also unveiling a variety of new swimsuit skins in early July. Moreover, the developers have just disclosed that The First Descendant players can anticipate receiving free rewards as “compensation” for any further delays in Season 3’s arrival.

The following free rewards will be gifted to The First Descendant players on June 18th:

As a gamer, I’ll be excitedly checking my in-game mailbox around 10 minutes after logging in past midnight Pacific Time (PT), 3AM Eastern Time (ET), or 8AM British Summer Time (BST) on June 18th. These rewards won’t last forever though, so make sure to claim them before they vanish on September 6th/7th.
The mentioned incentives are being presented as a form of remuneration. In their latest update, Nexon has disclosed that the “Void Erosion Purge: Challenge corruption purge stages reset schedule is now moved to Thursday, August 7.” This essentially means that the timing for stage-particular clear rewards will also be revised accordingly.
Beyond what’s already mentioned, Nexon is carrying over the existing Battle Pass into Season 3. However, this decision has sparked a great deal of discontent among players, as they feel there won’t be a fresh Battle Pass for more than a month.
A significant number of responses indicate a strong feeling that there hasn’t been a new Battle Pass in over a month, which many consider a “major blunder.” Some users have even announced their intention to pause their involvement with TFD until Season 3 begins.
