As a long-time player of The First Descendant, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement as Season 2 approaches! The promise of major rebalancing and character improvements has me eagerly waiting for January. I’ve spent countless hours with Viessa, Valby, Jayber, Luna, and Sharen, and it’s heartening to know that their gameplay will be significantly enhanced.
In simple terms, the free-to-play action game “The First Descendant” by Nexon is preparing for its second season. This new season will bring in fresh heroes, content, and costume options. Additionally, there will be significant adjustments throughout the game, particularly focusing on characters that have not been as impactful so far.
The First Descendant promises to fix bad characters
During their three-hour long “dev preview” for Season 2 of Void Chaser, the team announced that they will be carrying out a significant adjustment to the game’s balance. This may involve toning down certain overly powerful characters and weapons, but the main goal is to enhance the performance of lesser-used, less impactful heroes in the game.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the developers have announced they’re giving special attention to Viessa, Valby, Jayber, Luna, and Sharen. Instead of mere numerical enhancements for their characters, the studio is dedicated to ensuring real gameplay improvements by redesigning movesets and playstyles for these characters.
The developers stated that for the Season 2 update, they targeted Descendants who weren’t performing well within the game. They also mentioned that this isn’t the end of it; in the upcoming January update for the game, they will be enhancing the performance of these Descendants.
Players of The First Descendant can enjoy enhanced character experiences starting from January, however, major overhauls aren’t confined to just this point. The development team plans to keep refining characters, aiming for player satisfaction, with more changes coming in Season 2 and subsequent seasons.
Weapons are changing, too
In addition to introducing new character alterations, The First Descendant is set to bring about significant weapon overhauls during Season 2. Much like the characters themselves, these modifications will not only tweak stats for damage and precision, but will undergo substantial revamps to enhance the overall user experience.
According to the developer’s blog post, they outlined changes such as updating effects and parts, along with modifying certain penalties. To illustrate, the Ultimate Weapons in the game will no longer impose penalties when they are initially leveled up (Level 1).
To stay updated on the latest TFD news, explore the latest additions such as revamped abilities for a fresh character and expanded customization possibilities in our free-to-play game.
