As a dedicated fan of The First Descendant who has spent countless hours customizing my characters and honing my skills, I am beyond excited about Nexon’s plans for the game! The prospect of adding tattoos to the already impressive customization options is music to my ears. It’s high time we give our characters a little more personality and individuality!
Next year, it seems that a significant portion of Nexon’s exciting ideas for The First Descendant could come to fruition. If this happens, the game’s future looks exceptionally promising. One standout feature of the game is its personalization options, and Nexon intends to expand these customization possibilities in The First Descendant by introducing new elements like tattoos.
As we eagerly await the upcoming premiere of Season 2, Nexon has revealed their aspirations for future seasons. For Season 3, they plan to introduce a photo mode, while enhancing the multiplayer experience by incorporating additional matchmaking options. Moreover, potential partnerships with other intellectual properties are currently being considered, and “jiggle physics” are in development.
As a thrilled supporter, I can’t help but be enthused about all these upcoming possibilities! Not only does the future hold amazing advancements, but as a player of The First Descendant, there’s an additional perk: we’ll have expanded character customization options. This includes the ability to add tattoos to our characters, giving us even more freedom to make them truly unique and express ourselves in our virtual world!
Nexon teases tattoos and “more customization options” for The First Descendant
As a dedicated gamer diving into The First Descendant’s universe on their official Discord server, I’ve been thrilled to hear TFD_PD_Lee bring up the exciting prospect of beefing up our character customization options within the game.
According to the game’s producer, enhancing and refining customization features is a significant ongoing task for Nexon. Although the development team has some concepts in store, at this point they are focusing primarily on the release of Season 2.
Concerning some thoughts he has, Lee mentioned, “We might explore tattoo and body art designs as we broaden the personalization features down the line.” In the same conversation, the developer acknowledged that they haven’t thought about including options for adjusting skin tones.
Previously, Lee mentioned the potential inclusion of an on/off switch for helmets and facial accessories in Ultimate skin designs. However, the developer noted that implementing this as a true toggle feature could be quite expensive. As a result, Nexon is currently planning to create two distinct versions of skins: one with the facial accessory and another without it.
“We intend to introduce the variant ‘obtained through battle pass rewards’ for Ultimate Freyna (without a helmet), since many members of the TFD community have expressed dissatisfaction with the masks associated with Ultimate skins. This should address their concerns, although it doesn’t offer the option to turn masks on or off.
