As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the news about Season 2 of The First Descendant and the potential addition of photo mode in future seasons has me both excited and patiently waiting. The second season will debut on December 5th, but prior to its arrival, Nexon has launched a new event offering three special rewards to participants. Moreover, the developer’s latest code, released in celebration of Nexon’s 30th anniversary, is still valid for players to claim.
We can hardly contain our excitement as we eagerly anticipate the arrival of S2. What makes us even more thrilled is the exciting roadmap Nexon has for The First Descendant in 2025. One of the highlights they’ve shared with us is the inclusion of a photo mode, which has been a much-requested feature by the community ever since the game’s debut.
When photo mode might be added to The First Descendant
In early March, Nexon initiated a Question-and-Answer forum on the official Discord server of The First Descendant. Through this platform, gamers have been able to communicate directly with the game’s director and producer, expressing their ideas about what features they would like added to the game.
Nexon disclosed during their back-and-forth conversations that they’re considering implementing “jiggle physics” and also exploring the option of a photo mode feature. While several players have asked for an in-game photography function, it won’t be included in Season 2.
In response to a question about when photo mode would be introduced in The First Descendant, TFD_PD_Lee replied that they are aiming for Season 3. While this doesn’t confirm its arrival in the game’s third season, it does give us an idea of their planned timeline.
In simpler terms, the Photo mode feature is a highly sought-after aspect in many different video games. This feature was just introduced in Stellar Blade, and players are thrilled about the opportunity to craft stylish and impressive images within the game. For TFD, we hope that Nexon will integrate functionalities such as editing tools and the ability to alter character poses/expressions.
Beyond just introducing a photo feature, Nexon intends to enhance player experiences by providing additional matchmaking choices aimed at preventing frequent AFK (Away From Keyboard) offenders. Additionally, they will extend and improve upon the standout feature from Season 2, and potential collaborations with other intellectual properties are currently under evaluation.
