The First Descendant dev reveals big changes for new update “next week”

As a dedicated gamer who has been following The First Descendant since its release, I can’t help but be impressed by Nexon’s commitment to their community. Their quick response to player feedback and willingness to adapt to new discoveries in the game is truly refreshing.

As a long-time fan of mobile games, I can confidently say that The First Descendant (TFD) has truly stood out to me among the sea of new releases this month. With its delightful visuals featuring an abundance of scrumptious cakes and captivating gameplay mechanics, it’s no wonder TFD has quickly amassed a devoted fanbase.

I’m thrilled to share that Nexon has released update 1.0.3 with some fantastic improvements! I’ve been eagerly reading through the patch notes, and I’m particularly excited about their commitment to tackling AFK issues more effectively moving forward. The gaming community has been praising Nexon left and right, calling them “based as hell.” Additionally, an intriguing discovery for PC players: increasing frame rates leads to dishing out and receiving more damage!

Since its launch, The First Descendant has primarily impressed fans, and Nexon is dedicated to enhancing the game’s enjoyment. Through regular updates, they have delivered well so far, promising a fresh hotfix “coming up” featuring exciting modifications for players to look forward to.

The First Descendant changes for new update

Minseok Joo, the game director of First Descendant, recently updated players on Discord about the ongoing strategic outpost farming with Valby. In simple terms, players are actively utilizing Valby to farm resources at the outpost located in The Fortress.

Nexon unintentionally caused an issue where mobs at The Fortress Outpost keep reappearing indefinitely, resulting in a significant boost – around two to three times more – in item drops compared to other areas.

Nexon chose not to eliminate the recently found content in Valby Run, as this area had gained significant popularity among players within their community in a short time. Rather than taking it down, they are working on a patch to adjust other farming spots to equal the efficiency of The Fortress Outpost.

For the First Descendant followers, this turns out to be wonderful news. Nexon has decided against eliminating the Valby Run farming glitch at The Fortress Outpost. On top of that, they’re enhancing other farming spots to equal its productivity.

Next week, hotfix update 1.0.4 will include the following modification: The cool time for Vulgus Strategic Outpost will be decreased, and the locations for gathering Void Fragments will be adjusted to ensure balance. Furthermore, the team is working on improving methods for obtaining Gold by enhancing Gold production in Special Operations.

To put it another way, the director has expressed that during The First Descendant’s live service, they won’t just adjust certain content by weakening it in response to conflicts with their goals. They value every player-created content and aim to develop a game where all players can have an enjoyable experience for an extended period.
