The Finals update 4.8.0 patch notes detail long list of fixes for maps, modes, gameplay and more

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that The Finals Season 4 has been nothing short of exhilarating! The recent update 4.8.0 has been a game-changer, not just because of the new store items that bring the noise (pun intended), but also due to the much-needed fixes it’s brought to The Arena.

We’ve just passed the midpoint of Season 4 of The Finals, and it’s been terrific so far! Things are only expected to improve in December with holiday-themed activities like those we saw during Halloween, but we’ll have to wait a bit until then. In the meantime, let’s delve into the updates for The Finals 4.8.0, which outline numerous improvements across maps, game modes, and other aspects.

Last week’s patch 4.7.0 was more like a store refresh, but it kicked off Fashion Week with a contest where players could win free Multibucks and merchandise! I’ve been enjoying Season 4 and there’s still lots to come, but now we can start getting excited about Season 5. Details are scarce on Embark’s fifth chapter so far, but the developers have hinted that they might need our help with the Battle Pass and have also teased a new feature that should be coming soon.

As December arrives, bringing Christmas festivities along with it, followed by Season 5, Embark has recently unveiled the details for Update 4.8.0 in their latest announcement.

Below are The Finals update 4.8.0 patch notes:

This week’s update amps up the excitement with new store goods that create a buzz, along with essential tweaks for The Arena to ensure smooth gameplay.

Step into the limelight with “Death by Rodents”! Crush your adversaries elegantly using the Wrath of Rats Collection, featuring an electric guitar shaped like a sledgehammer for melodic annihilation or express your fandom with the Thrash Rat Package. If you’re after a more sophisticated flair, the Synthronium Forge Set will allow you to infuse advanced craftsmanship into every confrontation.

Technically speaking, we’ve rectified numerous bugs and incorporated several enhancements aimed at improving user experience. This ranges from correcting issues like the Interrupt Steal Contract not rewarding players correctly, to introducing a novel accessibility feature that substitutes flashbang whiteouts with blackouts instead.

Moving forward: The ISEUL-T Cup enters its third week starting tomorrow, accompanied by a fresh community event. Keep an eye out for more information coming up in tomorrow’s update!

And now, let’s dig into the fixes!

  • Gameplay UI is hidden while in the settings menu so that it’s not visible while in the Video settings
