The Finals Season 6 needs to bring back the game’s best mode

The Final Season 5 of our favorite eSports game is drawing to a close, and some major updates for Season 6 have been unveiled. In a recent announcement, Embark hinted at significant changes for Season 6, and it seems we’ve caught a sneak peek of new weapons and maps. Though Embark hasn’t disclosed further details about the upcoming chapter before its release, we can’t help but hope that Season 6 will reintroduce the popular game mode that was recently taken away.

The Finals Season 6 should bring back Team Deathmatch

According to the changes made in version 5.12.0 of The Finals update, the game mode known as Team Deathmatch has been taken out. Previously, we had anticipated this change since the mode was just a Limited Time Mode instead of a permanent fixture.

Though its exit was unavoidable, fans find themselves mourning the departure of TDM. On Reddit, they express their sadness, as many considered this mode the finest and most gratifying option within the game, describing it as “a delightful game mode that made it effortless to complete all daily challenges swiftly”.

Fans are optimistic that the popular mode could make a comeback. Players believe it might reappear during Season 6, although there’s no official confirmation from Embark yet. Their confidence seems rooted in its previous success and the fact that Terminal Attack, another LTM, was temporarily introduced at the end of Season 2 before becoming a permanent feature at the start of Season 3.

If the return of the mode is anticipated, fans speculate it could mean sacrificing another mode. Particularly, players prefer to see the Terminal Attack mode phased out in favor of Team Deathmatch. This preference arises due to frequent complaints about Terminal Attack, and Embark has announced they won’t be creating new maps for this specific mode.

At this moment, there’s only anticipation and speculation regarding the reappearance of Team Deathmatch in Season 6. It might be somewhat like the Terminal Attack, but currently, it seems to be out of commission without any confirmed return date.
