Next week marks the arrival of Season 5 Finals, and the developers at Embark Studios have given us a sneak peek into what players can anticipate. Brace yourselves as you engage in combat on the bustling streets of Bernal, Mexico, experiment with fresh weapons for Heavy and Media characters, and utilize innovative gadgets.
On December 3rd, 2024, Embark Studios unveiled a trailer for Season 5 of The Finals. Set to launch on December 12th, this new season introduces a fresh map situated in Bernal, Mexico, boasting narrow, cobblestone streets and a vibrant colonial square. This will mark the fourth map integrated into the game, increasing the total count to eight.
In the upcoming season, both Heavy and Medium characters will receive new weapons, while Heavy and Light characters will gain unique gadgets. The Heavy character will obtain the ShAK-12, a rifle capable of firing two bullets per pull of the trigger, and a Lockbolt Launcher which can bind up to three players, objectives, or items together. The Medium character will be equipped with the Cerberus 12GA, a versatile break-action shotgun that offers incendiary shells. Lastly, the Light character will acquire a Gravity Vortex, an item that creates a singularity, pulling players, objectives, and items towards it.
