As a dedicated player of The Finals, I am beyond excited for Season 5! Ever since the game’s launch, I’ve been longing for a fix to that pesky visual recoil issue. It’s like trying to shoot a cannon while riding a rollercoaster! But it seems like Embark has finally heard our prayers and delivered a much-needed solution.
As a thrilled fan, I can hardly contain my excitement for The Finals Season 5! Just a few more days, and we’ll be diving into the latest chapter of Embark. There’s plenty to look forward to, such as a fresh map, an array of new weapons, and—get this—improved weapon handling! This is a long-awaited fix for one of the game’s most significant issues since its launch. Can’t wait to experience it all!
On December 12th, The Finals Season 5 is set to be released. Prior to its premiere, Embark has unveiled the latest map, along with fresh weapons, gadgets, and details about clubs. Moreover, December 12th not only kicks off Season 5 but also marks the game’s introduction on PlayStation 4 consoles, allowing even more players to dive into the multiplayer mayhem.
All of the new content looks fantastic, but one of the best aspects about the upcoming chapter is simply a fix to the game’s visual recoil.
The Finals Season 5 includes massive visual recoil fix
Prior to the start of Season 5 Finals, it’s been discovered that a significant visual recoil adjustment is being implemented. A side-by-side gameplay analysis, showing differences between old and new versions, has been posted on Reddit. The weapons used in this comparison are the AK, FCAR, V9S, and the M60.
Instead of battling out on the field, the gameplay is confined to the training suite within Season 5. This setup gives a clear advantage as weapon recoil is much more stable, resulting in shots that are concentrated at one spot rather than being randomly scattered up, down, left and right.

For The Finals Season 5, Embark are introducing two new weapons:
- ShAK-50: A heavy-hitting rifle for the Heavy that fires two bullets per shot, delivering immense stopping power with each pull of the trigger.
- Cerberus 12GA: A break-action triple shotgun for the Medium loaded with incendiary shells that can set both contestants and the environment ablaze.
They are also introducing the following new gadgets:
- Gravity Vortex: a deployable gadget for the Light with a remote trigger that creates a local singularity that pulls in everything around it, including objectives, players and objects.
- Lockbolt Launcher: a gadget for the Heavy that shoots an anchor into the environment that captures and holds up to three targets. Players are still able to move when anchored but they won’t get far.
